ORMOND BEACH, FL. (January 7, 2010) – Orlando, FL based Contech Construction announced today that award winning director George Billard will film the nine month construction project at the Royal Floridian resort beginning in January. The final film will provide viewers with an in-depth look at one of the largest construction projects in the Ormond Beach/ Daytona Beach area this year.

“We are going to give everyone an inside look at the world of construction and a very big project that’s happening in their area” said Alan Haughey, Vice President of Contech Construction, “we hope people will come away with a sense of who the people are that are dedicated to delivering the best work in our industry.”

The project will be tracked with short videos posted to Contech’s website and other online destinations. Documentary filmmaker George Billard will direct the project over a nine month period. “Our goal is to tell an entertaining story as we track the progress of the construction.” said Mr. Billard, “what’s most interesting about this particular construction job is the level of collaboration that’s required between many partners and suppliers – that will be a key part of the story we tell.”

Contech will oversee all elements of the restoration which will add to the beauty of the Royal Floridian, one of the area’s finest properties. Spinnaker Resorts owns the Royal Floridian in addition to other timeshare properties in Florida, South Carolina, and Missouri.

Additional marketing partners involved in the project will include RSC Equipment Rental, Cemex for concrete, EFCO for innovative window receptor systems, and BASF for a number of products including sealants and coatings. (RSC person, title) commented on the unique initiative, “We’re very excited to be a part of this innovative marketing effort. Many contractors and project managers today are almost solely focused on price; we believe we offer superior value in the form of superior products and service and the way we collaborate. This is what we think viewers will learn from seeing us in action on a job.”

Alan Haughey said, “The more partners that we can showcase in this film, the stronger our story becomes. The whole point is that when you have a solid team of people who work great together it shows in the results.”
